About this Unit

The aim of this unit is to give you an understanding of the fundamental technologies used to provide networked systems within the boundaries of an organisation. You will gain knowledge of the components used to create networked resources including the common topologies, hardware, connection and software requirements. You will develop an understanding of planning considerations for implementing networks and the skills needed to administer their operations..

To achieve this unit you must:
  • Define network resources
  • Demonstrate network planning
  • Investigate routine network administration tasks
